A 13-year-old girl from Chongqing, China made headlines on the web after rendering a service of helping other students to make their school holiday homework.
By doing so, she made almost 10,000 Yuan (approx. RM6,000) in just one long school holiday.
She used her mother’s e-commerce account without her knowledge to get customers and even provided samples for her potential customers’ reference. What a marketing strategy huh!
What attracts more customers is the fact that she has neat handwriting and became extra hardworking. She earns more than a fresh graduate could have.
But when the school started again, one of the customers’ teacher recognized the handwriting and learned that the 13-year-old girl did their assignment.
The client asks for a refund but the girl explained that she had spent the whole afternoon writing it and therefore a refund was impossible.
The buyer reported the girl account which resulted for her account to be blocked. The incident also caught the attention of her mom and when she was interrogated, she came clean with her “side business”. When her mother learned about it, she got angry and confiscated all her earnings.
The young girl defended saying that there’s nothing wrong in earning using her skill and she’s earning more compared to her mom.
